More is more - inlays

Our inlaid parquet floors, tailored to your floor plan, embody the highest art of parquet laying. In the 16th century, parquet flooring was created in its current form as a prestigious floor covering. The planks were varied in length and width and inlays of different colored wood species were used.

The feudal variants were ornamental decorative floors, modeled on marble inlays. Initially only aristocratic palaces, but later patrician houses also received such wooden inlays with border friezes and an emphasis on the center of the room. The panel parquet flooring, usually composed of square panels with lattice patterns, is still a symbol of the Baroque era's urge for ornamentation. Parkett Dietrich's inlaid floor coverings are works of the highest aesthetic value, bringing new splendor to the ancient art of wood inlay. The use of advanced laser systems enables extremely precise cutting of the wooden workpieces according to templates and drawings; even very complex floor plans can be realized in this way.

By combining elements made from different types of wood, countless motifs and ornaments can be created thanks to the different color gradations. The inlay technique can be used to create not only ornate wooden floors, but also borders, centerpieces and other inserts to emphasize the importance of special areas in a distinctive ambience. The laying pattern influences the effect of a floor more than the grain of the wood.

We specialize not only in designing these precious floors for you, but also in producing and laying them using selected types of wood according to traditional craftsmanship - tailor-made.

"Craftsmanship
that inspires"

The rosette forms the center of the composition of an inlaid floor. Depending on the design, this element can be elaborate and complex with many color combinations and knotting or simple and elegant with two or three types of wood.

The central panel serves to break up the overall composition of the inlaid floor between the rosette and border. The size of the central panel is determined in proportion to the rosette and
border depending on the size of the overall composition. Compared to the central field, the border is smaller in proportion but more expansive. It forms the conclusion of the entire composition. Our tradition of craftsmanship, which goes back over 100 years, guarantees you the highest level of traditional craftsmanship.
