A store couldn't be more conveniently located: Visitors from Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Mönchengladbach and the entire Lower Rhine region come to the Parketthaus in Krefeld to be inspired by the 480 square meter sales exhibition. The fact that the beautiful clinker brick building in the Uerdingen district used to serve as a forwarding agency is still revealed by old details such as the crane jib, which has been preserved as a tribute to the past, and the building's steel structure.

An atmospheric ambience in which the Parkett Dietrich flooring collection comes into its own. The 15 rooms feature Landhausdielen, sample floors and single strip parquet made of different woods in various shades of color. "Parkett Dietrich's range is so large that even I didn't know all the woods at the beginning, even though that's my profession," explains project manager Roland Klähn. The designs that didn't find a place on the floors can be admired on large sample boards, some of which are mounted in such a way that they can be moved back and forth. Another eye-catcher: parquet patterns that are framed like works of art and fill entire walls in a Petersburg hanging. But of course the floors look best as part of the beautifully furnished rooms. For example, the long exclusive planks in the color Tabacco in Klähn's office, where the customer can look around just as long and undisturbed as in all the other rooms. They ensure that both the "Eames DAW chairs" and the many framed black and white pictures on the walls, which only reveal themselves to be photo wallpaper at second glance, look their best.

"I only got to know the whole variety of colors of wooden floors here," says Tamara Jacobs, Sales Manager in Krefeld. "From cashmere gray to flannel to oyster and Nile gray. And these are just some of the shades of gray. Doesn't that sound nice?"
